RPK 7.62mm Light Machine Gun

DESCRIPTION:
The RPK was developed by Mikhail Kalashnikov as a section support weapon. It operates on the AK 47 assault rifle principle of simplicity and robustness. Utilizing a drum or magazine for short bursts in enhances the engagement capability of the squad as the section support weapon, It is easily identified by its heavier barrel and bipod together with its larger magazine or drum feed system together with its clubfoot style butt.

Care must be taken in its use as the barrel is permanently fixed to the receiver and cannot be swapped out in the field as other Light Machine Guns can so overheating can occur if firecontol is not adhered too.

Highgate’s RPKs reliably fire blanks and their presence in the emulation adds additional presence to the scenario being executed.
